Singapore Airshow 2010

MAJ Aviation (MAJ) participated in the Singapore Airshow 2010 for the first time, which was a rare opportunity for a local SME. Together with our partners, WingsOverAsia and SIM University, our theme was on General Aviation (GA) - Providing Opportunities for Flight Experience and MRO support for GA Aircraft. Our participation in the Airshow gave us the chance to promote our recent launch of Discovery Flying Club, a joint collaboration with WingsOverAsia as well as the specially customized Flight Experience Program for UniSIM’s students pursuing the Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Systems.

On top of this, MAJ Aviation also announced its intention to provide MRO services in the General Aviation sector and has committed to constructing a dedicated GA Centre and hangar infrastructure based on an innovative all-in-one, one-stop service concept. This will be set up by 2011 in Seletar Airport to support such activities. This news has also been captured in the recent Straits Times article, “Local Aviation’s High Flyers” which was released in conjunction with the Singapore Airshow.

We were also extremely honored and grateful for the personal visits to our booth by significant guests including DPM Teo Chee Hean, Minister of State A/P Koo Tsai Kee, Chairman for Spring Singapore, Mr. Philip Yeo, Chairman for A*STAR, Lim Chuan Poh and Director-General CAAS, Mr. Yap Ong Heng. Through this participation in the Singapore Airshow, MAJ Aviation has received much encouragement and interest in supporting our vision to re-invigorate the GA environment as well as providing cost effective GA services.
